First things first. Let’s set our scene. We have had one WET June. I have never seen so much rain before… and we live on the ‘wet’ westcoast so of course, we’ve seen our fair share of rain. But usually we get drizzly, misty, just kinda annoying rain! Not torrential DOWNPOUR rain.
Well, on this day… Mother Nature decided to TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR on us. Not all that nice of her, considering there was a gorgeous garden wedding at Harrison Hot Springs Resort planned.
Here is a photograph taken by my trusty second shooter, Kendra! Just to give you an idea of what we were dealing with.

It’s all good though. So what, it was raining. It didn’t matter!! Two fabulous people were going to become one today!!

Then we headed off to Minter Garden‘s for their first look!
First looks are a really personal, intimate way for the bride and groom to take in the very special moment of first seeing each other on their wedding day. Instead of seeing each other for the very first time in front of their family and friends at the alter, where they can’t really express their feelings to each other in words, they get the opportunity to see each other in private and share a very special moment to tell one another how beautiful/handsome they look and just how they are feeling at that moment.

and this next one was taken by the super fabulous, Kendra!

I wish the branch wasn’t in the shot but I kind of really love this next one…

The rain continued to down pour so we moved our photo time indoors…

Thank you so much to Kendra for helping me so much this day! You rock!
And a huge congratulations to this beautiful couple! I wish you many lifetimes of happiness together!!
