A+H Hycroft Manor Engagement Session

An engagement session is a special moment for any couple as it captures the essence of their love and celebrates their commitment to each other. It’s an opportunity to create lasting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Choosing the right location for your engagement session is essential to ensure that your photos reflect your personalities and your relationship.

Here are some tips for choosing locations for your engagement sessions:

  1. Personalize your location: Think about your relationship, and choose a location that is meaningful to you both. It could be the place where you first met, your favourite coffee shop or restaurant, or even a location that you both love to visit. Personalizing your location can add a unique touch to your photos and make them even more special.
  2. Consider the time of day: The time of day that you choose for your engagement session can have a significant impact on the quality of your photos. For example, if you prefer soft, romantic lighting, consider scheduling your session during golden hour, which is the hour before sunset. If you want to capture a vibrant, colourful atmosphere, schedule your session during midday.
  3. Think about your outfits: Your location should complement your outfits and create a cohesive look. If you’re planning on wearing formal attire, consider choosing a location that is more elegant and sophisticated. If you’re wearing casual clothing, you may want to choose a more relaxed and natural location.
  4. Choose a location that reflects your personalities: If you’re a couple that loves nature, consider choosing a location that is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, such as a park or a beach. If you’re a couple that enjoys the city life, choose a location that reflects the hustle and bustle of the city, such as a busy street or a rooftop.
  5. Don’t be afraid to explore: The world is your playground, and there are endless possibilities when it comes to locations for your engagement session. Don’t be afraid to explore new locations and try out different ideas. You never know what kind of amazing photos you may end up with!

So, choosing the right location for your engagement session is crucial in creating the perfect photos that will capture the essence of your relationship. Take the time to think about what kind of location reflects you both, and don’t be afraid to try new things. Your engagement session is all about celebrating your love, so make it special and unique to you both.

Anuraj and Herman chose to have their session at Hycroft Manor, in Vancouver, British Columbia.  It was a cold and rainy day that day, so this location was perfect for keeping warm and dry and also offered a few areas around the outside that were covered as well.  Lucky for us, the rain took a break and allowed for us to have more variety for locations as well 🙂

These two looked absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier with the results!!!  Such a great day!!
